Seniors - Save or transfer your BAS Google Apps account files and data

Greetings and Congratulations BHS Class of 2019,

As you prepare for graduation and transitioning away from Brighton Area Schools, we would like to remind you of the digital assets that you have accumulated during your enrollment. We will provide you with 13 additional months of access to your BAS Google account, as we plan to suspend the preceding graduating class's accounts on June 30 of the succeeding year; the class of 2019 has until June 30, 2020 when their account Google privileges will be suspended. If you are interested in exporting or transferring your BAS Google resources, the remainder of this email will explain the processes.

Google provides two means for preserving your account: export or transfer. The export method allows for you to select which information you would like to retain, then packages it and allows for the results to be downloaded to your own computer, or exported to another online storage service, like Dropbox or OneDrive. For further instructions on how to use the export/download method, please see this video:

And follow this link to download/export your Google archive: https://takeout.google.com/settings/takeout

If your preference is to simply transfer your BAS Google digital footprint to a personal (or another school or collegiate) Gmail account, you have that option as well. For guidance on how to transfer your BAS Google account to a separate Google account, please refer to this video:

To continue with the Google transfer process, please follow this link: Transfer your content

If you have any questions, please contact myself or Ms. Buchanan in the BHS Library.
